That, and DLSite has been aggressively targeted over the past year, to the point they now geolock all "problematic" content like loli and schoolgirl/school uniform and to purchase said content requires not only a VPN but purchasing DLSite points through a third-party vendor like Amazon Japan. It's a series of hoops most people won't be willing to jump through. And of course, it's not limited to R18 games, it's based on a autofilter system that checks for tags and store page description for certain keywords. A 12+ game like Menhera Farm was initially geoblocked until the dev complained to DLSite directly after being notified by people on Xitter. I imagine most Compile Heart games would trip the autofilter and be geolocked as well, and Gal*Gun certainly would.
