Currently waiting on the Discord screenshot since that's where the announcement apparently was, but in light of Steam's current issues, is it really that implausible? Apparently, on top of the likely payment processor issues, someone may have snitched to the Polish government. So now GOG has apparently laid off their entire adult game team and are only going to handle the five Kagura Games releases currently in the queue before cutting them off completely. Earlier this year, Tokyo Clanpool, a Vita game with some risque content, also faced issues releasing on GOG, only being greenlighted in a censored form and refusing an attempt by the publisher to upload an uncensor patch. Safe to say that GOG as an alternative to content barred from Steam is dead. I suggest grabbing up those Rance games and Evenicle 2 as well as anything else you want from them before the delisting starts happening in earnest.

Frankly GOG is a mess of a company right now with no direction. If they have anything of the sort if should be only classics with eroge elements. Their focus on game preservation is great because is at least some sort of direction. I used to buy from GOG all the time, i mean even newer games. I stopped when i realized i was getting updates for newer games weeks to months later, sometimes never at all. You wanna buy on GOG? Is it an old game, then yeah buy GOG, even over steam really, it will probably run better. Is it a newer game, indie or otherwise? Then no, buy it on steam unless you are ok with a version with little to no support.

Also all that effort they put into making GOG be a one stop launcher was just really dumb, no one wants that, there are already netter open source alternatives for that, it was not a good idea.
