I've been EQ'ing origins with the intent of getting a very bassy preset to use rather high volumes.

Origin will not lose soundstage or detail with any insane treble suppresion you throw at it, but at the same time the HBB x KZ's bass is tighter, this is not changeable with EQ, problem is, the imaging of the HBB is just a blob of sound per ear. I still consider it a budget champion.
