BH is super gimped in melee, the entire gimmick is you rape elites and specials and bosses but are the squishiest + weakest melee. I'd maybe give DT a shot if veteran had a weapon that was more like crossbow on BH where its single shot and leaves you open for attacks but destroys elites in 1 shot
