I feel you, at first I through the plot was gonna a generic

Instead, they subvert your expectations. Tachyon is forcing her dreams onto the other girls, inadvertently damaging their psyche, but worst of all, she's damaging her own, just as badly as Pokke. Tachyon imposing her dreams on her rivals is messing with her head more than we realize, until we interpret the imagery in her scenes. The single shot of her room, for example, speaks volumes, she's a girl who desperately wants to reach for the stars.
But like all media, it's not perfect sadly. I think forcing Tachyon into the antagonist role wasn’t necessary, they clearly did it just to keep Pokke as the center of attention. But did all the girls really have to be such assholes to Tachyon? Especially Mahatan Coffee?? Like, WHAT WAS WRONG WITH HER?
