Basically what the other anon said. You're going to be snapping your character object (i.e. the capsule) to the pole, interpolating your character mesh into position then playing the animation. Then when the player chooses to jump off you're going to be teleporting the character object onto the position of the character mesh.
Not just you anon but aggy daggy in general needs to stop thinking of shit how it would work IRL and start thinking how they can fake it in game.
This problem and the train problem from earlier. You're making your life so much harder. It's a game not a simulation
