Why do you lie? Pic related, this is the kind of "sexy" designs the Chinese allow. Japanese media is still chalk full of sexy character designs. What's missing is the fanservice, and you won't get that in China, either. The few Chinese gacha that even offer fanservice and risque character designs have to have headquarters outside of mainland China, and still it's only for non-CN versions of their games. Not to mention 90% of the time they're still hiring Japanese artists to actually make the risque designs.
If you had said South Korea instead, you'd have at least a shred of a point, but no you have to go shilling the literal communist hellhole that won't even allow cleavage or panty shots in their country.
