He prepares a "suspension-style ritual magic" exorcism where he does most of the ritual ahead of time and then pauses it. He gets Selena's friend Elizabeth to lure her into the room where he prepared the ritual, uses the spirituality wall to seal off sounds, and then immediately completes the ritual.
