i was thinking about featuring a similair character as a antagonist in a mage game or coc game, pic related is clementine from the game morimens who is based on the Shaggai a really obscure lovecraft mythos monster. in the lore She was terminally ill as a child and was saved by her father using a dark ritual after victorian era medicine failed them. However, the being that exists now is no longer just Clementine it's a fusion of her and an interdimensional insect that now uses mind magic disguised as therapy to manipulate people and opening them up to possession from her kind while claiming that it's her patients "true selves".
funny thing however is that she is actually a really good psychiatrist when she cares to be and is pretty much the reason why the evil scientist faction hasn't imploded yet from all the SAN damage they do to themselves

Her drones come in three stages. the first stage can still pass as human, with only the head taking on an insectoid appearance during combat.
the second stage fully sheds its human form revealing a monstrous, insect-like body. the third stage is a grotesque a writhing mass of flesh and exoskeleton bits made from multiple merged drones.
drones can switch between stages in combat
