Dark fantasy has way more varied settings and scenarios. Sekiro and Bloodborne are also dark fantasy and are nothing like Souls in terms of setting. Meanwhile gigh fantasy is already a solved genre. Once you watch/read LoTR there is no point in consuming anything else. Everything else is an inferior copy.
