I love this series but I've yet to play 4.

VC2 was perfectly serviceable but my biggest problem with it was how much they were reusing the exact same 5 maps for 90% of the game.
The story missions had unique areas that were never seen in the game again besides maybe post game DLC.

VC3 had a ton of variety so it was excellent.
