Sure. So initially my impression was something along the lines of “Really? That’s what you went with?” and my general sentiment was “These sculpts would be perfect except for X.” where X was an aspect of the model I thought ruined an otherwise fantastic sculpt. Examples were Warden spears, Stoneguard helmet toppers, Cathallar’s head crest thingy and hip-handlebars, Teclis’s face and pose, etc. Not directly related to eachother, but I after reading their lore I also grew to like the sculpts and leave my complaints with them behind, chalking up some of the dislike to the paintjob as well. Like in my models, where the official paintjob gives them a jumpsuit and some weird butt-cape under the armor, I’ve made the Bladelords wear separate pants and a top that is reminiscent of one of those Asian robes whose name escapes me right now. Decided my next army would be them or Malerion’s elves, but I think around the time the Horns of Hashut came out as well as the lore of KB Hobgrotz I figured Chorfs were coming before Malerion, and here we are today. Now I’m at about 1400 points painted. I’m still gonna get the better Teclis sculpt 3D printed to slap onto Celennar as well as replace the Stoneguard helmet toppers with Custodes plumes if I ever decide to buy either, though. A few other thoughts: S Some of the choices for assembly design of the models are puzzling and definitely don’t help in planning a project. Also, it’s weird to me that people got mad at LRL’s “wave 2” when the army was pretty clearly not launched in “1.0 launch” state especially after GW told us they made so many sculpts in one of the Lumineth Lowdown articles. I’m not expecting much for LRL this edition, I think we’ll see a reboxing of the Riverblades, a Ydrilian Rivermage, and a dual kit for the Aelementor, Generic River Spirit/Daixo Whitecrest.
