Remember when Xiphons were used by humans before Marines adopted them and now we only can have them with Marines? Then there's Stormbird variants that were used by the Army. And predecessors to the Stormbird that predate Space Marines and were used post-Heresy. But we can't mix units because that makes Paul Marketing seethe. Merely allowing Marines to take some automatas is borderline, but they can get away with it because they're Marines.
