Interestingly the S.O.S. Commandos share some DNA with the now infamous Airgam Comics collection. A Spanish range of offbrand superheroes done in a playmobil style back in the 1980's. Airgam itself was once a big player in the Spanish toy market, but once Spain liberalized and opened upto international trade they went under. I assume Gulliver Brinquedos was able to get the mold of the terror copter accessory in the fallout of Airgam's demise, however it does lead me to wonder why they didnt pursue the other airgam vehicle molds. The Commandos could have really benefitted from additional vehicles and a headquarters playset. Both of which Airgam had in spades.
