The idea of hell doesn't show up too much in the Gnostic writings that I know of, and according to one website the explicit doctrine of universal salvation first showed up among Gnostic teachers.

The Apocryphon John mentions eternal torment specifically for people who "obtain gnosis but turn away" which is equated with blasphemy against the holy spirit, but before that in the same section it seems to heavily imply that everyone will be saved, and between the two parts there's a bit implying that mentorship is required for salvation, so I personally believe that both of those latter claims were later additions. I also suspect that the whole idea of blasphemy against the holy spirit as an unforgivable sin is an early but false addition to the gospels.

But then I see Christianity including Gnostic Christianity as being heavily symbolic and mythological rather than literal, so I don't need any text to be the one true perfectly preserved literal truth in written form.
