They actually tried to make doc's gender ambiguous in the anime. That's probably why they made a girl and boy player character for Endfield, they realized female doctors want doc to be a girl too and they do have some female players. Though they retconned his height already, might as well do his gender too if they care that much. A female doc would be cute.
