Because they have a lot of genuine independent Baptists compared to other populations. You'll notice that the first book ever printed in Chinese using metal type was the book of John translated by a Baptist missionary (who was working out of Calcutta). They were also the ones that got religious liberty started in the U.S. with the Rhode Island 1663 charter, which later made it into the Bill of Rights as the Establishment clause of the first amendment. They are God's people. I mean that completely unironically.
I'll be honest, God is holding everything together but He also definitely shows favor to his people by allowing them to succeed at things.
