SA2 absolutely jumped the shark with Amy’s random super speed. one minute she’s a civilian with a hammer, the next she’s outpacing military vehicles like it’s no big deal. the hedgehog-speed retcon was always flimsy, but slapping it onto Amy with zero buildup reeked of lazy writing. At least characters like Shadow had biological experimentation as an excuse, Amy just got a free power-up because SEGA couldn’t think of a better way to force her into the plot.
