if he does 11,000 pullups then he's obviously training for endurance rather than hypertrophy. He could get bigger by doing harder variations like one-armed pullups in the 8-15 rep range.

he's like 45, that's a respectable body fpe that age. And he spent half that time falling for meme diets like veganism, or doing 21 day fasts when he wasn't even overweight, so his muscle building was far from what it could have been.
