I don't really care about the food and wine festival. EPCOT, in its original vision, laid out such a compelling case for the future of humanity as being optimistic and worth pursuing. That being scrapped, the attractions that underpinned that ideology destroyed, and now replaced with "investment vehicle" franchise representation really says a lot. It's like a litmus test for a broader cultural rot. People dont look forward to the future so they just distract themselves with the things they enjoyed as children which keep getting recycled and pimped out to new generations turning them into very lucrative corporate holdings.
