A New Chapter Edition

>Last Thread: >>2784310 #

>What is this thread? Why are there two companies?
Disney parks were initially founded as a way to celebrate the culture and history of America and provide middle class families with a fun-filled immersive experience. While theme parks are the main focus of these threads (and the title of the general) there is also discussion on other roller coasters & rides, as well as the parks themselves and trip planning too. That's where /rcg/ comes in.
>Can I talk about Disney/Universal parks in this thread?
Absolutely! Disney and Universal are currently competing for the Orlando theme park market and beyond! Universal is opening new resorts all around the US and new continents!

Thread Pro Tip: Celebrate the opening of Epic Universe!

Going to Disney in September. Mulling whether or not to try to do Epic Universe, my main worry being crowd levels likely being beyond insane for at least the first year of its existence, and that it may be better to give it at least that long. What would anon do?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Disney has not been run very well lately. They have long lines even on off days. And this is for the same rides nothing that has changed, nothing new, if it is new it is a terrible woke rewrite of a once lovable ride. Only you can claim you went in the early days of the opening of Epic Universe.

I want to go soon. My big sadness is that I won't be able to take my kids. Its just not in the budget. We had enough to take me for my birthday.

I would love it if they took another stab at a generic theme like Greek mythology but with the state of the theme park industry, the closest we will get from Universal is the inevitable HHN house themed to Poseidon's Fury in 5 years.

Best bet for a generic themed land at universal quality is a japanese or european park.

>They have long lines even on off days
The longest line at the Magic Kingdom today is Tiana at 65 mins. 7 dwarves is 45 mins. I don’t consider these long lines. Long lines are anything over an hour which is only Tiana (and barely) right now. People on Reddit claim that a fast lane at Cedar Point is a must have and essential because the lines are unbearably long but lines on popular attractions rarely get to 90 mins or more on most days. Even top thrill 2 has been around 70 mins the past week. I waited 3 hours for the original TTD and millennium force 20 years ago. We didn’t have smart phones and they had live DJs in the queue. I think people today are spoiled and entitled if they think waiting 45 mins for a ride at Disney or Cedar Point is unbearable and long. The main reason less popular Disney rides are no longer walk ons on off days is because of the lightning lane system. During Covid, walk on rides were walk ons again because fast pass was gone

I doubt it. They seem to openly prefer making rides to franchises and I don't think the odyssey will be more than a 1 off.

The only way you're getting another greek area in a big park is if a hypothetical 5th gate uses mythology as an overall theme similar to how celestial uses the stars. Or if Disney decides that nostalgia for Hercules is worth cashing in on.

For a ride like it’s a small world, yes. But not for a headlining e-ticket attraction. I think an hour is reasonable. 3 hours is a bit unreasonable, even 20 years ago at Cedar Point when TTD and MF were recent. But I felt for MF it was worth it and I still queued up again for 3 hours to ride both again on subsequent trips. We still rode every coaster that day despite wasting 6 hours in switchbacks for2 coasters because they had less coasters back then.

The employees at Universal suck at customer service. One time I had my purse stolen. The cops wouldn't help and it was only after I complained online TripAdvisor that they found my purse. Some guest from the UK had stolen it. They sent her home because who tf does that? Then they made it hard for ME to go in. After that, I feel like I was on their radar. They kept finding reasons to yell at my kids. I'll never forget how they treated me and I'll never buy annual passes again as a result. The Hispanics there hate white women. I got yelled by them in front of my kid. I never had a problem like this at WDW. Combine that with how unprofessional they run things sometimes. For Hagrid to STILL be over 45 minutes over ten years later is ridiculous. If I go it'll only be a one day ticket.

Yeah. The, "coming in a whole new way," phrasing clearly means a new way for FNAF, ie a house. However, people are taking this to mean a "new way" to mean something new for HHN, which is clearly not the case. It's just going to be a house.

Yep I’m being a dumbass for some reason and mistyped
Anyway the main thing is they are never going back to the original. It’s been gone far longer than it existed, it involved a turntable they built over, and they almost never go back to what existed before. They always have a moving forward angle if they remove an attraction, especially one that had dwindling attendance.
Ultimately they have to make a pleading ride with Dreamfinder returned that is varying from what existed before, which might be their challenge they’d struggle with
A restoration or new ride is worth it because it will keep their IP who clearly sells to continue selling and gaining new audiences who aren’t just nostalgic for a ride that was removed 27 years ago. However that investment without a big Inside Out film IP won’t be approved until ROI for the last revamp is reached, which I always put at a quarter century so we’re getting there
For non-parkheads the only way to reach them is taking the dragon to home screens with new media, which there’s always low rumblings about doing

I don't really care about the food and wine festival. EPCOT, in its original vision, laid out such a compelling case for the future of humanity as being optimistic and worth pursuing. That being scrapped, the attractions that underpinned that ideology destroyed, and now replaced with "investment vehicle" franchise representation really says a lot. It's like a litmus test for a broader cultural rot. People dont look forward to the future so they just distract themselves with the things they enjoyed as children which keep getting recycled and pimped out to new generations turning them into very lucrative corporate holdings.

Or maybe I'm a depressed schizo. Idk

Overweight lesbos trying to argue their wimpy-ass dogs are service animals to the beleaguered security guards, entitled porky kids who need a backhand across the teeth, and apathetic men lulled into complacency by hedonistic pursuits... quite sad

But should they? I don't think I hate any group of people as much as I hate the obese. Every square inch of excessive fat on your body got there through your glutenous appetite and perpetually dumb decision making. You look bad. You look dumb and bad. When I visualize the future, everyone should be sleek and well formed with a capable body that serves them well. I don't see what we have today.

Instead I see a group of pathetic assholes that would rather society adjust to their horrific lifestyle choices than put down the fork...OCCASIONALLY. They adopt the language of the oppressed at theme parks. "Oh I don't think this ride was made for me. Is this ride plus size friendly?" No you fucking retard. The ride was designed for normal human shapes. You're an abomination and you should be forced to reckon with that fact every fucking day until you lose enough weight to be considered human again.

I don't hate fat people, but I was repulsed to learn that there's groups of people who call themselves things like "the plus size traveler" or something, and go to places to review how fat friendly they are. I understand letting yourself go, but to brand yourself as "fat" and just accept that it's part of who you are and you're going to do research about which places in the world have seats that support you, is just really gross.

An encanto ride could be really fun if they used Mickey's Railroad techniques for it and made it heavily musical

I know Disney seem to hate Book report rides now (despite the Tokyo frozen being really good) but you could do it like this:

>ride starts
>Mirabel animatronic appears, speaker in each car playing the kids begging her to talk about her family
>vehicles follow Mirabel (moving in the same well the Belle animatronic does), 'dancing' to the music you get introduced to all the family, each with their own animatronic and effects used for their powers.
>transition corridor with Mirabel finding out about the property
>We don't talk about Bruno in a plaza with loads of dark lighting effects, family singing their bruno stories all together , cars circle between them to hear snipped of each other with black light, weather effects etc for each story.
>Lights come back up and the plaza is lit naturally for everyone to go "We don't talk about bruno"
>Surface Pressure transition corridor with some strength effects and dancing donkeys
>"What else can I do" room with the cars dancing around whilst loads of flower bloom effects happen.
>transition corridor of the house collapsing
>another corridor showing it being rebuilt
>darkened entrance way, Mirabel opening the front door, room gets lit up and you see the house come back to life
>Mirabel waves goodbye, rides end.

I used to work at the parks. They used to want us to spray the crowds softly with the water sprayers but one guy figured out how to rig them so you could shoot it in a direct jet. It was insanely fun. And blowing bubbles was fun too. I loved being around all the beautiful young people who had fun at the parks. Mexico will always be my favorite. One time a guest got mad at me because I was scaring people (they told me I could). It was fun scaring people. I only got attacked once. An angry old white guy started accusing me of stealing. I guess he felt like turning me into his little pee-on since I only made minimum wage.

All the men were either whores or homos and everyone was happy but poor. The tribalism was fun. It was the best time of my life because everyone was obsessed with Disney there.

Once an ABC employee came and bought something. He got it almost free because of his card. Around this time ABC had a reputation for being corrupt so I took a good look at him. He definitely looked like a libshit. Short, black hair, glasses with an angry smugly look on his face. Even though the pay was bad it was a good experience.

Just went to Dollywood yesterday and the operations were fantastic. Every ride had more than one train in operation, the ride ops had at least three people checking seats, at certain parts of the day there were walk-ons due to the gay Flower and Food festival going on, weather was beautiful all day even though there was a chance of rain. Lightning Rod was closed before I could ride it though, of course. :^( Which may be a good thing because I last went on it when it still had the launch and I just know it's going to be chugging along now instead of whipping through the layout. As always, Tennessee Tornado is the best ride there.

It's extremely smooth, especially for an Arrow looper. The only jolts I get from the ride is the chain lift as it seems to "buffer" as it goes up the hill, but the first drop and into the first loop followed by the rest of the layout into the butterfly loop is butter smooth. A real shame they went out of business right after this because they could have made great things. Imagine an Arrow giga, complete with 7 loops and 3 corkscrews.

Holy fuck. I rode this for the first time today and I get it. I get why people love this thing so much. Not a single dull moment in the entire ride (exept for the waiting for the ops to actually do their job). The first drop is amazing, the entire section that is low to the ground and twists around. Amazing.
A little rough though. 7/10

I've been curious about how rough ET is now after the recent re-track. It looks smooth from the POVs and I don't trust when people call a woodie "rough" because I just rode Thunderhead at Dollywood for which I've heard people call it rough and it's the second smoothest ride at the park before BBM. Wooden coasters of course can get rough due to the nature of their design but I think too many people have been spoiled by steel to really warrant calling them "rough".

I gotta get back to Dollywood some day. Probably the best location of any park I've been to. Amazing views from the coasters, though Fuji-Q beats it out slightly in that regard, and a true feeling of being isolated from the rest of the world. Plus, the staff was great. People always talk about how friendly Disney staff are, but I thought Dollywood was at least equal, if not better.

Strictly speaking, yes. However Epcot's UK is a bunch of different styles and periods all joined together, there's stuff covering a span of around 500 years, some countryside, some city, some palatial. You're not going to get all these things together.

One of the biggest influences is Hampton Court Palace (home of Henry VIII). Huge banquet halls, tapestries and giant portraits everywhere, hedge mazes an original style tennis court.

You've towns\cities like York, Bath, Windsor that have historical districts, regions that are full of picturesque small towns and villages like Cornwall and the Peak District. One thing to always be aware of is that larger towns and cities will have their historical parts next to a modern town centre with modern shops. You still get really comfy areas though, there's a street in Shaftesbury that was made iconic due to this advert: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KoLwAdkcdk

There are open air/living museums that comprise of transplanted historical buildings put together to reproduce a period; Weald and Downland museum for Tudor style country village, Beamish or Black Country Museum for industrial revolution England.

This is closer to what the Disney and Universal parks here in the US should actually cost. They’re priced way too high because of greed and capacity even though they’re all built for high capacity. It does keep the riff raff out though but with some days being $180 it won’t be long before basic admission to these parks (not including parking or add ons) will exceed $200 and the product just isn’t worth $200. Not when a good regional park like Kings Island is $40 (water park included). Even Dollywood and Silver Dollar City are overpriced in that regard, however they have 2-3 day options that bring daily admission way down close to that $40 but only if you go 2-3 times. Japan is higher trust, tolerant of crowds, and there is no riff raff.

There is an end of summer fair where I live and they’re up to $50 for wrist bands and the wrist bands don’t even work the whole day on weekends, only a few hours. You can still buy tickets but if you have kids you’ll burn through $20 worth quickly and all their friends have wrist bands. Some things need an adult so the parents need to buy tickets or also get a wrist band. Food and drinks are pricey because it’s fair food. The whole thing cost more than going to Cedar Point which is 90 mins away from me but if I tell the kids they can’t go to the fair because we’ll go to Cedar Point instead they get upset. So every year we get suckered in to spending $300+ on this fucking shitty fair with janky rides run by carneys and zoomers that are probably unsafe.

Why would you expect a public corporation to lower prices when people will cram inside to pay $180? Pricing tickets at, say, 100 would probably result in the parks being unbearably full.

am very American and hate traveling to any place that isn't similar to me. I am overweight. How do white overweight people (who are not multicultural ) get treated at Disneyland and DisneySea? I want to take advantage of the weak currency right now.

Also I looked into a passport. In order to travel you don't get a passport you have to get a whole book which is three times as much and might take forever to get to your house. you really can't be spontaneous, you have to plan it all

I don’t expect them to. I’m just saying it’s severely overpriced considering the product. It should be $100 or less. Yes it will be more crowded. They could offset this by putting LL behind a $1000 paywall without return time restrictions. Hire more staff, the parks are built for high capacity. In park spending would increase and you could ban people from bringing in food and drinks to increase it further. $100 would still keep out most of the undesirables.

On the flip side, I think Disney could increase the price to $299 and still have a similar capacity. Families paying for a “Disney vacation” at the resorts don’t see admission broken down by name, just a total for the package. Breaking $200 will price some out but attendance won’t collapse until about $300. In the present that is, 20 years from now it probably will be $300

I'm in the small minority of people who were fans of Cars Land in MK since it was revealed. I'm really liking this new art. Things I notice:
>ROAfags get to keep some of their river, barrel bridges, water mill, and boardwalk
>way better at integrating the mix of "America"s into a cohesive land than what is there currently
>riverboat house is still there after all this demo talk and concept revisions. who knows what they are planning with that. small popup meet and greet station or shop?
>bringing back a mostly obscure disney character as the car mascot is totally random but i completely dig it as well as the "national park" aesthetic in general, i am sold on it
>obvious absence of cars in cars land. and i can't pinpoint where the flat ride is meant to be. but to me it looks more like a play area now. i would actually REALLY love that because it would shut down every butthurt faggot claiming this expansion only exists to sell LLs. But I also won't get my hopes up, I understand I'm probably wrong but i dont know what the corral thing is or the wheel shapes on the ground
>it took me to this point in writing to get the "pistons peak" joke, the snowy mountain is shaped like pistons in an engine. and those are the window art on the main building. are they trying to make this a new "mountain" ride off a technicality?

I'm totally aware that this is very stylized concept art but it actually feels more definite than the first art we got. If we get like 60% of this in the end product I'm completely satisfied. It's not just slapping lightning mcqueen innawoods like every assmad disney adult on twitter keeps whining about.

This is all subjective but technically they would be considered “destination” parks. As in people come from all over to visit them and not just the locals. Branson used to be more popular and Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Sevierville are more popular than ever. Both parks gave or are getting official report hotels. They are also better themed than standard amusement parks, better than the Busch Gardens and Seaworld parks. I consider SDC to be overall the best theme park in the country even over Disneyland or IoA and I’m not alone in thinking this even though it doesn’t have billion dollar theming.

Still, the best of the regional parks like Kings Island and Cedar Point (Cedar Point is also kind of a destination park because of its resorts and beach and the fact that its coaster mecca) are pretty damn good parks in their own right that I would say are up there with SDC and Dollywood in terms of amusement entertainment offered and they’re less than half the price. But SDC and Dollywood have decently priced season passes and they usually have a promotion where you basically by one day you get one free, often with a third day for a few bucks more (and at the end of the summer including their water parks).

It's hard to overstate exactly how much people don't care about the Cars movies. Here's the box office:
>Cars (2006): $462 million
>Cars 2 (2011): $559.8 million
>Cars 3 (2017): $383.9 million
That's an average of $469 million per film. Not counting the covid bombs, they are the 4th, 6th, and 12th out of the 24 non-covid films. They were BTFO by the Pixar films released around them (Cars made about $170 million less than the Incredibles (2005) and Ratatouille (2007); Cars 2 made $500 million less than Toy Story 3 (2010); Cars 3 made $400-600 million less than Finding Dory (2016) and Coco (2017)).

But I'm not just talking about the lukewarm box office. It's clear Pixar had nothing to say when they made the first Cars film, other than perhaps a love letter to boomers and their parents. In the same decade they gave the world Monsters Inc., the Incredibles, Ratatouille, Wall-E and Up, the plot of Cars stands out badly.

It has always been a merchandise film for both Pixar and audiences. It’s a 2010s Pixar film 4 years early.

I’ve been to both multiple times and SDC edges it out. It’s got the cave, they rob you on the train, Grandfather’s Mansion, Flooded Mine, now Fire in the Hole is a bit better than Blazing Fury (which might be getting updates). I think Dollywood used to have versions of these too. Dollywood does have a better location in terms of the area vs Branson.
>>2790919
I think Dollywood wins coaster lineup on a technicality but only on the strength of the family coasters. In terms of thrill coasters, Outlaw Run is better than Lightning Rod now. Only because LR doesn’t have the launch otherwise it was the other way around. Time Traveler is amazing. The mine ride is one of the best although running a bit rough. Powder Keg is pretty fun.

They make you sit in a cage at the park entrance and small Japanese children poke you with sticks and laugh. After one hour or 1,000 pokes (whichever comes first) they release you into the park along with a handler who monitors your food intake, scribbling in a notepad and making judgemental hmms no matter what you order.

In all seriousness, I can't imagine them doing anything besides maybe a few odd glances and test seat checks. The Japs know what fat people are, especially fat foreigners.

If we're being honest? He sees both.
Epic is proving what he's been after. Monsters is perhaps the highest quality attraction in Florida, but it's an IP that is old and not that hot with the public, so it has decent wait times. Harry Potter has a far more middling attraction but is the singular hot IP, so it has 5 hour lines. Mario is also very crowded with less attractive rides then Monsters. Those are selling on the IP
Cars is an IP that will attract as a base due to boys being very into it so it's worth the heavy expense removing the river and building over it will cause, if they make a land as good as in DCA they will get similar success and they know that.

So they’re keeping the water facing Frontierland and Liberty Square (that surrounded the lesser island, but not the full loop around). This is the primary thing people were concerned about, losing the water feature. Of course now you’ll look out in to this new land instead of TSI but it’s not nearly as bad as it could have been (no water at all). Losing the river boat and TSI aren’t really that big of a deal. I went to MK a few months ago and chose to do other things rather than TSI one last time. And the riverboat always sucked. I like the sailing ship
Columbia at Disneyland when the spieler is good… and there is always their river boat and TSI. It’s a loss but not as big as people feared. It will also add capacity.

Still not convinced with the ride. Halfway between Test track and Indiana Jones. If it was truly trackless it would be mind blowing but they've already confirmed it's on a track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI6iHP1_-ao . I'm sure it'll be good but they need more than good, especially as Universal will have almost certainly built Phase 2 by the time this happens with Disney's normal snail paced construction.

Yes. For $15 more you can get the dining bundle and get 2-3 meals (every 90 mins) out of those 5 hours. Are you gong to any other Cedar Flags parks this season? For $200 you can get a season pass plus an all parks pass which gives you free parking and early entry to all their parks plus discounts. But yes, Dorney is worth $40 plus $30 parking. Granted there are better Cedar Flags parks for the same price (SF Great Adventure is 90 mins from Allentown), it’s still a decent park though not top tier

It won’t end because just increasing it by $1 gives them hundreds of thousands to a million or more per year. It’s also used as an upsell tactic for passes that include free parking. It’s going to be $40 soon and then $50. It won’t stop when shitty lots run by Indians in cities sell spots for $50 during major games and events. Or some Atlantic City casino parking on the weekend can also be $50. Parking at amusement and theme parks has increased exponentially compared with ticket increases over the the past few decades. I remember when we went to visit Citywalk in 2001 about an hour early before free night parking started and thinking $6.50 was outrageous for parking

There are also people at the ticket window buying tickets at gate price which for most of their parks is $90. At SFGAdv, that’s the gate price for one day AND the price of a gold pass for the season. I went there the following year and remember thinking it was a lot to park and it was probably not even $7 by then. Impressive parking structure though. To me $20 is a ridiculous price to park at a theme park today, so the $35+ bullshit is another reason why I don't visit parks much anymore.

I guess they know a large segment of their visitors don't live close enough, or have no interest in visiting more than 1x/year, that they can recoup almost the cost of a second admission ticket by getting them on insane parking tolls.

So here's a fan fact, when I was a kid my parents wanted to take me on the train, and they told me that there was going to be a robbery, and I didn't want to ride because I thought the robber would scare me. They told me it's just pretend but I didn't care, I didn't want to ride. But they made me go on it, and my dad happened to be the guy that the robber picked out to be his accomplice. Easy item in the staffing budget to cut. I think every theme park with a train did it in the 60s and 70s, some even had the guys ride on horses. That was back in an era of theme parks before the coaster wars. Parks featured an array of shows and attractions rather than just rides. As rides themselves became more numerous, larger, and more complex, the importance of smaller flourishes & items like train robberies fell and they eventually disappeared.

Was at Studios/Islands all day yesterday. I haven't seen this posted yet but they have walled off the sidewalk outside of the park where RRR was visible through the fence. Interestingly, they have placed walls on either side of that sidewalk so there's a huge area between the sidewalk and the city walk canal that is walled off. The walls are bolted into the concrete and it's been decorated in a way that makes me think they are intended to be there for a while.

Essentially what I am getting at is I think that whatever coaster is going to replace RRR is going to extend over that sidewalk and some element is going to go into city walk.

Dumb faggot take. It was basically a Lasseter passion project. The first and third movies are made for american racing fans and you can see the passion if you are one. the second movie and all the lame spinoffs are why people claim to hate this franchise now.
>the plot of Cars stands out badly.
It's different but not in a bad way. It's arguably the lowest stakes and smallest scale out of any of the movies you listed but that works to the story's advantage. It's just a small town sports movie, and a solid one.
And frankly, Up and Monsters Inc. do nothing for me. I'm not interested in rewatching those movies but I'm still excited for the Monsters land in Hollywood Studios. Up is basically worthless as a park IP, especially when Disney would much rather force Encanto into the park instead.

Tom Sawyer Island isn't as fun when there are too many people. The whole point of it being fun is that someone can discover all the cool stuff and meander about as a child. Its not safe now to let a kid do it all by themselves like I did as a kid. And there are too many people for it to be fun.

Picked an absolutely terrible day to go to Epic for the first time today. Weather was complete shit, park was packed and everything was down for half the day.
Did a whopping three different rides and both the shows and had some food since it was raining half the day and that's it. The short hour days are especially felt when there are constant delays. The day was over it seems right before it even started.
BatM single rider queue took about 2h20m and that's right before it hit capacity for the day.
The ride isn't even that good.. Way overhyped. Monsters Unchained fortunately had everything 100% working and I rode it three times so that was the only thing saving the day from being complete shit. Untrainable Dragon show was really good but Le Cirque Arcanus is inconsistent trash.
Overall rating for the day: 4/10
Epic Universe rating: 6.5/10
Super overhyped park. Operational mess in every conceivable way and attractions are mostly mid with only Monsters Unchained being worthy of it's praises.
I am beyond disappointed. I waited all these years and got so hyped for one of the worst theme park days of my entire life. I've had countless days at Six Flags parks that were more fun and I never in a million years thought I would say that about a major theme park. They really need to get their shit together. I heard hundreds of people today express their disappointment. What a shame this park is being so held back by being great by the dumbest most fixable shit beyond just needing at least five more attractions minimum and not having every single ride go down all day over two weeks after the park officially opened.

I feel like peoples opinions are gonna depend on if they got a good day or a bad one. Everything worked perfectly and the lines were short when I went and it was pretty kino, but if everything kept shutting down and lines were unbearably long I could see myself thinking otherwise. BATM is another case of the queue being better than the actual ride itself so if I waited for 3 hours to ride it I probably would be disappointed.

Yeah i did ride it and i'm convinced they were persuading influencers to sing it's praises during previews because it was unanimously considered the "best ride of all time".
I wouldn't even put it in my top 10, or top 20 for that matter. The people who said it's better than Rise of the Resistance are really full of shit. The ride is 90% screens and they aren't even integrated into the ride well. The death eaters and the big rhino beast thing are the only impressive elements of the entire ride. You kept hearing how massive and awesome the sets are, but all of them are full of screens. Nothing at all on the level of the AT-AT and cannon rooms in Rise, not even close to as cool.
Universal is very lucky they built Monsters Unchained because it carries the entire park. That I would consider top 10 and its really the only world class theme park ride there that is comparable to E-tickets at all the other Orlando parks.

>>2791227
Even on a day where you could do whatever you want and the weather is good, I could imagine the park would feel incomplete without having more than two major dark rides and a handful of coasters, only one of which isn't mid as fuck.
I just can't believe how much the actual experience of being there fell short of everything I saw about it prior, and I was following the construction of the park for years and watched countless vlogs etc.
I probably won't be back until the first major expansion happens, which is desperately needed day one.

The west likes cute but very well designed characters that can be applied to every type of merch possible and has a personal connection that can be mae, while the east likes cute that they can customize themselves with new outfits. Stitch will be popular in both but one likes getting him on as much different products as possible and one likes to customize Stitch
Orange Bird and Figment work in Orlando because they are very unique designs that can be applied to any type of merch and has historical connections, Duffy does not work because he's a generic ass teddy bear and no one cares about dressing him up

I feel a big reason for both having less new additions and having most additions replace backstage areas is that the large amount of local visitors hate seeing attractions get removed. Even though the announcement just happened I feel like I've seen more outrage over Monsters closing than the Rivers of America on Xitter and the like. Even people claiming it ruins the theme of the park even though Monsters Inc didn't fit it anyways.

Coco does very well in streaming and initial release, and this was a compromise for being rejected from WDW twice (from Mexico Pavilion for being too popular for the current setup and not worth the cost to renovate and remove, and not being passed over in Magic Kingdom for Cars and Villains
Additionally, while Stitich is a merch mecca he's translated very poorly to rides so far and failed twice (SGS closing and Stitch in Tokyo also closing within a few years). Only way to make your concept work is demolish a Space Mountain or wait for the WDW Speedway to be removed for an open spot (if they want a third coaster)

Jeffery Epstein, a homosexual and Disney's former VP of corporate communication, used the company as soap box for his stance that teachers in florida should 100% be allowed to have extreme sexual discourse with 5-10 year olds and that teachers shouldn't have to disclose what they are teaching to the parents of students. I'm pretty sure the company actually retracted what he said then brought it back out with some blerb from Iger and a couple other gay higher ups. DeSantis was on a crusade at the time over a bunch of shit so he planned to revoke their special status but there was so much debt tied to district that he instead replaced the entire disney board with federally appointed ones. Epstein was fired with a shitload of people a year after this all started but I bet he was on indefinite leave the moment the bill to dissolve reedy creek was proposed. By the way, you can blame this very epstein for the gay days that plague the parks every year.

Is it me or is this and their radio silence on it an indication that the bit of land they were planning on being expansions for both parks, is actually going to be a third gate instead?

It's the biggest open secret Disneyland is getting a third gate, just that it's unclear what its theme would be or what would even go there (since something like Avatar is already going into DCA).
This is also a 10 year plan so you're looking close to 2035 for third gate

If they remove all the parking as they plan and also incorporate DD it gives just enough space for a 3rd gate even with the hotels . Thing is it might not be as ideally big for a park, but it's too large for a singular park expansion either, and because they never bought land around it and it got taken up they need to get creative
Also people think there's going to be a bridge between Coco and DLF as was shown on it. Who knows what final plans would look like

The land would be insanely expensive. Imagine if you owned a small 100sqm building and your building was the one thing stopping Disney from building a theme park (and it would take years for them to try and force a sale in the courts).

This is their current proposal for Disney Forward. They presented this as expansions for both Disneyland and California Adventure, both parks would be linked to the expansion through large bridges. The current downtown Disney area would be moved to a larger site. The plans make it seem like there's a huge amount of space, but it's got both of the hotels in the middle that eat up a load of it and generally make it difficult for it to be a single park.

The best option seems to be what they're doing, create as big of a block of land as possible for a third gate (even if they have to have a bunch of bridges and some weird bottlenecked parts) and move all the parking to any parcel of land they're able to buy.

The rivers themselves? Both are fine.
But the island at Disneyland has the Columbia alongside the Mark Twain for sailing around the island.
Tom Sawyer Island in California has seen more updates, parts of it are themed to pirates now, and I think the Fantasmic set areas are off-limits.
TSI in Florida is nearly untouched since opening day, so right now is the more original experience. Only the Liberty Belle is available for rides, but it's a beautiful steamboat.
>Others
Paris is neat because it goes around Big Thunder Mountain and its functional boat is the sidewheeler "Molly Brown", which is unique.
Tokyo's riverboat is probably the best maintained of the fleet (and has the old boiler/steam engine from Florida's first steamer), and it's Tom Sawyer Island is the best of the bunch too, it has a neat treehouse, the fort, tepees, "Castle Rock", the water features actually work, and it has Injun Joe's Cave. I think it is missing "Old Scratch's Mystery Mine" with the neat forced perspective illusion, but the explorable native village and unique rockwork/caves or Castle Rock make up for it.
Or would just a youtube video be good enough?
No.
But don't worry, the nips won't be destroying theirs unless an earthquake does it for them.

With Ghost Busters coming to New York and Supercharged being Supercharged, maybe BTTF will be the kid-friendly version of the mummy and ghostbusters just so Studios can have another higher-capacity non-screen attraction that caters to families.

The Mummy is already the kid-friendly version of a normal roller coaster. Luigi's Mansion is looking shelved unless there's a major renovation they have yet to hint at. It's not an attraction they're just gonna stuff into a back corner of studios. I would put money on that whole corner being turned into a Ghostbusters Land and getting a second GB experience taking Fallon's spot. That could be the shooting gallery permit that leaked two weeks ago.

Firm handshakes for both you and I guessing this months ago tho. Anyone who thought F&F had a chance doesn't know shit about theme parks.

Nah, it's just one small element that is going into citywalk a little bit to be a nice visual piece to the skyline. It's not going over the canal. With where it is, it's meant to take the skyline spot that RRR's lift currently holds.

The only location I see it at is the lost continent simply because IOA lacks any spooky attractions whatsoever. But that park in general is probably more interested making another family coaster right now and that area of the park is the last spot they could do that.

Take a look at aerials of Anaheim and you can get the issue
It's all heavily built up urban development, ironically sprung up because of the park itself. It was farmland before Disneyland the biggest regret in the company's history was not buying more land around it when they could have in the 50s.
Walt himself actually saw what was going to happen, land around being turned into shitty motels and fast food restaurants and even housing to exploit his park's presence. But no one believed in Disneyland succeed ing at all and he was struggling to even fund the park itself so he had to do with what he could. Even accounting for as much future expansion growth as they ever expected it wasn't enough. That's why they bought so much land for Disney World upfront.
It would now cost tens of billions and legal battles to get enough land they don't own for a third gate near the first two. Any singular homeowner/motel owner/etc could hold out and make a costly fight to clear the final stragglers, and they 100% would.
Outside using the land they did own, the only real other option is buying Knott's and busing people a couple miles over, which would actually probably be cheaper then buying nearby land. Which they did plan to do at one point, and I could see that being a self-contained fourth park if Cedar Flags ever went under.

I don't think that's comparable 1:1. Luigi is already in SNW and is a niche part of a greater universe that is already featured. Getting an island is a big deal and IPs that get them are carefully selected to ensure they can drive big time merch sales. It's not gonna be Luigi getting a whole fucking island. That's insane. Candidates for full Islands are like: LOTR, Oz, Pokémon, Stranger Things...big things with a hundred million fans.

HPW was expanded because the demand for Harry Potter was immediately massively larger than Hogsmeade could satisfy. And when everyone saw how cool building out the book settings turned out the obvious demand was to build Diagon alley. Luigi is already at Mario Land. So it's kinda inherently superfluous and should just be an expansion attached to what is already there.

Dude, come on. The Harry Potter lands dont revolve around Harry. They revolve around "you" the guest visiting the locations from the movie and acting out the wizarding life by buying wands and drinking butterbeer. Harry is only really featured in one ride. SNW is explicitly about the characters and they are already featured. The minigames are mostly about the classic Mario enemies. It's not a 1:1 comparison cause the lands function differently. It could happen, but like I don't see how you could do it without it feeling like a retread of what was already built. We'll see after the response to Zelda.

Wizarding Paris is kind of a clusterfuck that is saved by being beautiful but I don't think it was the ideal way to bring the Ministry to the parks, for the record.

>Harry is only really featured in one ride
Four-point-five rides
In hogsmeade, there were two hagrid rides, the potter train, and that kuka arm featuring Harry Potter saving your dumb butt, which will be nearly repeated at every attraction he is featured in.
In Diagon Alley, Harry train again, and Gringotts featuring Potter and his duel against snake face.
Epic features him again.

So why does Luigi need to be side-lined to the abyss when they’re proud to make single character of a higher fee franchise have this many rides
>They revolve around "you" the guest visiting the locations from the movie and acting out the wizarding life by buying wands and drinking butterbeer.
Literally every single land at Universal and Disney is like this. It’s the general premise of all of their rides. Even SNW is like this. How overly pretentious are you? SNW has the capacity of below 4000 people at best in all of their rides. Which is about Diagon alley or even worse than it.

You’re seriously reaching for the scrapes of pure nonsense that hurts you even more when whatever they’re doing with Ghostbusters could be applied for Luigi’s mansion.

Totally different audiences. Disney is still the gold standard and Universal is still second fiddle and I'm saying this as the biggest universal fanboy who posts here. Disney attracts that upper crust of society that does shit like watch tennis or bet on horses and that's the kind of money that allows a company to do crazy shit like have 1k/night rooms at their hotels.. It's an iconic American tourism destination and basically every child in America should get a Disney vacation in the same way Muslims have to make the trip to mecca. So like the economic factor is so hard to negotiate down in a meaningful way when the park is full of people who don't value $60 and would happily throw that at LL just because a wait is 45.

Disney is also very good at making their parks a lifestyle. People (women) (whores) go there to wear the mouse ears and post it on instagram for engagement. Universal is on their ass, but there's still a gap. At least until the Pokemon-land drops.

Monsters Inc is going into that part of the park and since Disney's got the "Single IP land"-tism, it's shutting down for some kinda Monsters Inc show.
Muppetvision was the last thing Jim Henson worked on before his death and it mogs the hell out of every 3D theme park movie Disney has made ever since.
They're doing an Electric Mayham overhaul of Rock n Rollercoaster as compensation for Muppet fans, but losing a historically valuable Muppet thingy and subjecting theme park visitors to Matt Vogel's Kermit means it won't go as well as they'd like it to.

I'm tired of seeing the global south with American citizenship flood into the parks. I'm tired of looking at these people and having to be near them. These people are not Americans. If the park was for Americans it would be better. They are beginning the mass deportations now. I hope it has an impact on who I see at the park. The problem at all parks around the country have nothing to do with hispanics and immigrants and everything to do with blacks and their shit culture of being loud obnoxious and aggressive.
Went to Epcot today and the park was entirely flooded with so many groups of drunk niggers i could not believe where i was. It's absolutely insane to me that this is tolerated and encouraged by Disney themselves when it is causing them nothing but problems. These animals arent even spending money at the parks other than buying drinks and they are florida residents so they arent staying at the resorts. Public intoxication is illegal so its insane to me how swarms of them are welcomed into the park with them wearing "drinking around the world" shirts admitting they will be committing a crime at the park and are still allowed through security. There has to be an avenue of some sort for legal action from citizens who are fed up with this shit. How is Disney allowed to knowingly facilitate illegal acts in a public place with thousands of children around?
Don't mean to sound like a Karen but I am absolutely sick of seeing these large groups of drunk niggers swarm Disney. It makes me sick even acknowledging that it's a thing.

They're florida residents and locals who are there because they get a discount on APs so they hang out there with their "crews" on the weekend instead of bar hopping in the city because it's more convenient. It's like a jungle of wild nigger packs everywhere you look. I'm sure something will be done eventually when one of them pops off and shoots another one which I would say is only a matter of time. Saw so many hood niggers there yesterday you'd think you were walking through a rough inner city neighborhood and not at all a Disney park. Heard them all flapping their lips (loudly as always) and they were definitely florida hood niggers, not south americans.

The shimmy/shake was nearly gone, the tower doesn’t sway as violently, and your seat doesn’t feel like it’s going to fly off because they made them all a little lower. Great ride experience and just seeing it in action adds some kinetic energy to the background. Hopefully it’s up again soon

The closing of Muppets was bitter sweet. I always felt the show was boring but they should have kept the fountain. It really feels like the permanent shuttering of my childhood. I just didn't expect to feel this way about aging and being disappointed in myself. I always expected a family, in Florida, but I didn't expect standard of living to be so hard to get. I'm disappointed in what liberals have done with our culture and how fast the downfall has been.

Surrounding disneyland is homes and apartments. People want to live next to disneyland, so even that trash ass apartment is going for a lot of money.

Disney should have had the foresight to advocate to zone that area commercial and buy up a lot more of it so they could have replicated the World approach.

It's a cute little thing but it should have been better. The fact that Universal had to try to fix the manufacturer's numerous incompetent decisions is hilarious though. It was Universal that discovered the connecting rod between the trains was showing early signs of stress fatigue and prompted the global recall. The manufacturer had no idea. I'm not going to miss it but I'm glad it existed.

There is something wrong with the track and possibly the trains that have always made it uncomfortable to ride. Universal fired Maurer before the project was complete and finished the track themselves. There were profiling issues. The layout just isn’t any good either.

This coaster was built at a bad time right before a coaster renaissance (one Maurer would have no part in). It was already obsolete when it opened. The GP have always been intimidated by the vertical lift because they’re retarded and think it’s a vertical drop. They also think the non inverting loop “goes upside down”. The vertical lift is poor design with no redundancy and has stranded riders when it failed. The hill after the loop has caused many valleys. The capacity has always been far below what was advertised. It’s just a bad ride that has no place at an expensive Orlando theme park

They were so bad at manufacturing coasters that Universal had to cut off supports and reweld them as they were installing the track cause Maurer put the connectors in the wrong spots. That's why the track shakes so damn much when it runs.

Wildcat’s was okay I think but it hurt because of the rain. The highlight of my day was somehow Laff Track. Just a completely unique experience. Twizzler’s was good too.

Universal also found the fault on the trains that led to a recall, not Maurer. Maurer only makes small coasters now, mostly spinning ones like Laff Trakk at Hershey. In a way I’m glad Universal went with them because otherwise it would have been a sub 200ft B&M hyper (the model type) with a mediocre layout and it would likely still be around for a while longer. Plus hopefully they learned a lesson, don’t buy a big ride from a company that has no experience in making big rides. On a related side note, hopefully Cedar Point/Fair/Flags learned that lesson too

>don’t buy a big ride from a company that has no experience in making big rides
Every ride company has to go bigger, taller, faster, etc. to stay in business. New rides are a gamble, yes even those precious B&Ms have teething problems. Continuing to innovate carries a degree of risk but pretty often a company will build another revolutionary or record-breaking ride, something that would never happen if parks never took chances on manufacturers to go beyond what already exists - it's a hallmark of the industry desu

When you engineer something, it's expected that you have an understanding of what sort of maintenance challenges might arise in the future. The connecting rod between the trains was falling apart much sooner than the company said it would. So if Universal just took their word for it, you could have had a catastrophic decoupling and potential derailment with a train full of passengers at 65mph. They should have sued them into bankruptcy actually.

That's often a crap shoot and everyone knows it. As that machine becomes bigger and more technologically sophisticated, the chances of unanticipated problems rise.
>The connecting rod between the trains was falling apart much sooner than the company said it would.
Happens all the time with new rides, they go through a break-in period where certain parts will unexpectedly wear or break and the mechanics and engineers have to work together to chase down the problem.
>So if Universal just took their word for it, you could have had a catastrophic decoupling and potential derailment with a train full of passengers at 65mph
That didn't happen because it was being inspected according to the manufacturer's guidelines.

Which B&Ms have had teething problems? B&M is the most reliable coaster manufacturer there is. All their coasters have pretty much just worked. They don’t take risks like Intamin. Intamin’s risks have led to maintenance nightmares like the sratas, reliability issues, capacity less than stated, and they’ve killed people. B&Ms have only killed people who jumped over restricted fences and got hit in the head with inverted trains. Recent B&Ms might have track or wheel issues that cause a bit of rattle that’s being massively overblown by thoosies

>Which B&Ms have had teething problems?
The Superman flyers used a radio link between the PLC and the train which never worked well and SF ended up converting them to an optical system after a great deal of unplanned downtime from it. Other B&Ms have had little quirks and bugs, it is literally just normal for that stuff to show up on new rides, even clones. They're not consumer grade goods, they are highly specialized pieces of custom machinery that doesn't always work as intended the moment you fire it up.

>Universal fired the manufacturer. I doubt they were following their guidelines but rather Universal’s own guidelines on top
If anything parks try to walk back the manufacturers' suggested maintenance and inspection plan because some fabricators have unrealistic expectations of what a park can and cannot economically do in a given day. So the park is typically negotiating with the manufacturer for looser standards in the planning and design process. The drawbar is a very critical component anyway and they get inspected daily.

>Also the train issue is not common with new rides
Yeah, weird train issues and defects aren't unheard of for new coasters. They're just like that initially sometimes.

I doubt it will be a coaster because Mummy fills that niche for the park and Gringotts is also technically an indoor coaster as well, so you'd have three in a line if they build one in the EQ building. It needs to be a dark ride at the quality of Monsters Unleashed and Jurassic World. It actually needs to be better than MU/JW. It needs to redefine dark rides.

I don’t think it needs to. Transformers is right by as a classic universal scoop dark ride. Gringotts is still a stupid motion simulator ride that has a few coaster segments. The mummy is designed with the kind of audience as Ghostbusters and VelociCoaster, especially body wise.
ET is a great dark ride is that actually unique from what IOA and Epic offers especially in ride systems.
And Pokemon is going to be that dumb family gimmick dark ride when it replaces the Simpsons.
Studios is screwed by its situation not allowing for the space for another coaster unless they demolish another building like MIB and don’t care for their sight lines.

If Universal Studios can only replace the buildings with another dark ride, why don’t we make a BTTF coaster using the Intamin multi-launch spin coaster model they’re already pushing the limits on. It would look far more accurate to the source material and give Studios a proper Berk/Hagrids.

Studios is the OG park, it needs to be cooler than Islands of Adventure and Epic Universe, not a sample of what they offer at their best. Plus, if there is a rainy season, Studios would have the best guest experience out of the three if they just went for an in indoor coaster and a trackless Pokemon ride, instead of more motion simulator rides that make people sick.

When it rains, Berk shuts down, two thirds of SNW shut down, Celestial Park shuts down (that carousel shouldn’t have outdoor sections), half of Dark Universe shuts down.
When it rains, nearly everything in Seuss Landing is silent, nearly everything in Marvel is silent, the Kong is on and the Jurassic park is out, Toon Lagoon is flooded out of operation, half of Potter is dead to only those that paid the the multiple park dlc.
When it rains, Rip-Ride rocket (soon Ghost Busters) is down, the kid zone is down, Twirl and Hurl is down, and everything else is still open

They need dark rides in Islands and Epic, and make dark rides in Studios they won’t have

That's not true. There's a massive gap between The Mummy and VC. There's already a coaster for the children that are too small for Mummy with the Trollercoaster. You're trying to fill a need that doesn't exist. Whatever they decide to add to the EQ building needs to be so goated it instantly is considered the best in class for that ride type. Studios actually needs like 4 or so attractions like this back to back.

Like, I wouldn't be mad if they did decide to do an experience at the level of Cosmic Rewind, but Studios is the park that started the big animatronic kinetic dark ride thing and as of right now it has...one? It makes so much sense to give Studios an experience that harkens back to its opening day attractions. They can do the cosmic rewind knockoff as the Wizarding Paris expansion. Immediately would fix the issue with EU's potter area.

Why didn’t you say Gringotts, which is another stupid motion sim. Annoyingly, the capacity for Gringotts is about 1400 people and Trolls is 700.

> There's a massive gap between The Mummy and VC.
By intensity, yes. Audience wise, no. The mummy is basically the hulk of Studios and features stupidly intense fire effects and visuals that would freak out the kids.
> but Studios is the park that started the big animatronic kinetic dark ride thing and as of right now it has...one? It makes so much sense to give Studios an experience that harkens back to its opening day attractions.
Studios went with a a coaster for Ghost Busters as its replacement. And they went with two BTTF-connected coasters at Epic Universe and Great Britain. They could just have the BTTF coaster here take place at night and create a bunch of props and stuff to give the illusion that you are in the 1960s. And it would be very different from whatever indoor ride they’re offering at Epic and IoA.
Besides, they’re already doing trackless Pokemon ride for the park.

> They can do the cosmic rewind knockoff as the Wizarding Paris expansion. Immediately would fix the issue with EU's potter area.

I would not say Stardust is a BTTF coaster. It's a cheeky wink to the fans, nothing more.

>Besides, they’re already doing trackless Pokemon ride for the park.
A: BTTF takes place in the 50s.
B: I guess, but I still feel like the gaping hole in the park's line up is an experience in the vein of Jaws, Twister, Kong, EQ. That's still mentally what people associate with Studios so if it was BTTF it would have to be heavy animatronic elements. If it's a dark ride that turns into a coaster then it's just a ripoff of the Mummy which is fine but like...
C: We don't know shit about Pokémon yet. They could do a trackless Great Movie Ride with Universal IPs in the EQ building for all we know.
>Why should Potter have a cooler ride than BTTF? Should Studios continue to flop itself for IOA and Epic?
That's just like your opinion man. I would find another experience like the Jurassic World dark ride but themed to another property pretty cool. Especially if it's screenless.
I don't really care what they build, you just asked my opinion and I feel like that whole corridor of the park having 3 indoor coasters might be undesirable.

Here's a fun story. When I was five years old, I got through the whole ride without being too scared, even the witch at the end, but as we were exiting the ride, my dad said to me "Whew, that was a close one." And I legitimately thought that the witch was about to push a boulder onto us and we narrowly escaped with our lives. I was shook, and the next time we went to Disney World, I was very hesitant to ride it again, and I closed my eyes when we got to that part.

I don’t think there is a massive gap between mummy and velocicoaster. Mummy is shorter, slightly slower, and has dark ride elements. VC has better coaster elements and inversions. People who say VC is intense are fucking retarded and probably haven’t ridden many coasters. Compared to trollercoaster, yes. There are definitely people out there who live down the street from good regional parks with good roller coasters and have never ridden them yet they’ve traveled a thousand miles to Orlando to ride the ones at IoA. Their opinions can be ignored. VC is a good coaster but its intensity is exaggerated just because it’s at Universal. It’s not even the most intense coaster in its park

The only part that looked cool was when it was going down the rapids section. Rolling around doing wild mouse turns in a pond doesn't seem adventurous. A wave maker would add a lot to that section. The near-misses aren't dramatic. When you can see the bottom of the pond, it's a buzzkill. Oh look, a water that that yep--shot a mediocre jet of air up. There were other parts that were only a few inches deep. People see that stuff and it takes away from the experience. And I didn't really understand the point of coming out of the water to go up hills if they weren't big enough to be thrilling.

It's a ride system that needs heavy theming to work, what's in the video isn't good enough.

It will be a better ride than the Mummy and Gringotts, and likely have a different layout. It will probably more more of a subdued Ghostbusters they could consider for Universal Hollywood Studios.
>>2793022
I think rocking boats will work the best that way since they could manipulate the ride system to have more intense elements in a smaller amount of space, in theory. If it does, it could broaden up the potential for rides in more compact spaces.

It’s simple. They could lift up the boat to another water section to waste less space. The wild mouse nature of it would allow for it to be featured at more parks as an avatar river ride sized experience with more thrilling elements.

That seems like it's taking up more space, and of course there's the whole 'boat is going out of the water' thing

Navi’s problem is a casual ride system that cannot do any interactive elements that Jaws can. The Mack boat system allows for Jaws to be done without any of the massive issues with that attraction, not including the amount of space it needed.
It’s basically a water wild mouse version of a SFX coaster (Gringotts), so it wouldn’t need any big moments of speed to make up for the thrill. Kinda like how spin coasters can be fine having okay layouts as long as they can spin good. That’s why I think if they give BTTF the same ride system as Ghost Busters, it will be a better coaster than the mummy and curse of the werewolf. And I really want to see Universal and Mack learn from Curse of the Werewolf to make a better high-capacity model free spin coaster that’s more consistent.

Navi’s problem is they blew their entire budget load on a mannequin that violently swings its arms and sometimes doesn’t work and is covered with a picture of said mannequin. I hate their mannequin attractions. They boast of how advanced they are but they often don’t work and the only thing they do that advances is swing their arms around. As soon as they experimented with the newer tech in Disneyland with the auctioneer mannequin, all it did that was advanced was swing its arms. Unrealistically swing its arms. “Look at me I’m so sophisticated and advanced and expensive because I can swing my arms around like a retard”. I prefer low tech mannequins, at least they usually work

Darkmoor is the Hogsmeade of Dark Universe and needs a Diagon Alley-sized follow up.
It's too popular to only have a handful of meet-and-greets, two dining locations, and a face painting studio outside of the ride offerings.
Transylvania needs to happen and Dracula should get a solo-ride.

They also need to add more things to Darkmoor cause as it stands you can see everything in it in less than an hour and the whole point of Epic Universe is staying inside the portals. Give me a reason to spend money, Universal.

The premise of MU:TFE is that Victoria has gone out and captured all the monsters from remote locations to bring them there, so if you make the follow up land a prequel you can kinda do whatever you want. Van Helsing is another way to story justify all the monsters being again in one location. I'm just saying Darkmoor is clearly a smashing success and the demand for it is exceeding the scope of it as it stands currently. Universal is synonymous with horror and should lean into it a lot more.

They could also do a spiritual follow up that features modern horror franchises to make a kind of permanent HHN land. They have a good working relationship with Halloween, TCM, Nightmare on Elm Street, Jason, etc. Do a ride that justifies all of the modern slasher icons being in one location. Not everything has to be for children and horror is a big cash cow these days.

I think a good use case for this could be a more realistic version of rapids rides that resemble actual boats. Considering the vehicles can handle drops, you could even make a combination log flume/rapids ride with the system. >The layout was already made by Mack rides
>It’s the first launch family spin Mack coaster, so there will be some oddities about this operates from the other Mack family spinner models

Yeah it’s a pretty shit ride. Something you would expect at Elitch Gardens, not a multi billion dollar jewish IP-laden theme park in Orlando

Speaking of Mack I’m surprised these jews buy rides from them considering Mack is German. My dream ride is a Mack-made holocauster coaster at Phantasialand (which is right by Auschwitz) with fog gas chamber effects. The holocaust never happened but this would still be amazing

They recreated the Holocoaster for the 1991 comedy film Nothing But Trouble starring Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd.
First time I saw it I couldn't believe it but it's pretty obvious what they were getting at with it.

Busch Gardens had great coasters at Williamsburg. Their more recent additions are just kinda weird.

My guess that with Werewolf, it’s a prototype to a family ride Universal wants to make. Since we do know they want to make launch coasters involving controlled spinning at Hollywood and Orlando. So looking for a higher-capacity family model that would be more prone for spinning could be in their pipeline. Easily for IOA, Studios, or Hollywood to boost up their coaster count with something different from the rest.

They closed and fenced off the one side of the Mexico pavilion with the Donald meet and greet (moving him into one of the main halls) without saying anything and am going crazy that no one is really bringing it up or shrugging it off
Mainly because this is the area where there's an expansion pad, either for a new country or a new ride for Mexico such as Coco simulator

If you like 80s/90s comedy hijinx I highly recommend the movie. It's one of the weirdest movies you will ever see in your life and is full of esoteric references and random oddball shit. It's also extremely underrated because normies and critics couldn't handle it's unique comedy power level then or now.
