I don’t think my theory is quite as absurd as “actually 80% of the series should not be considered canon and also Nintendo executives secretly hate those games but they still like them enough to reference them sometimes but not in any way that would imply canon I promise” while holding smash blurbs as foundational pillars.

Again, I’m not really all that invested in the particulars of how the game fits in the timeline, I just think the ideas the game presents are cute and enjoy them for what they are.

I’m not saying that you can’t have your thoughts on things. That’s the fun thing about fan theories. I’m glad that you can have your idea of how things are and I can have mine without either of our views impacting anyone else’s enjoyment of the game. Just don’t get your panties in a twist when other people disagree with you.
