Here's why DS2 is not as good as DS1:
>It's too easy to navigate the world. if I go around a BT area or bandits it should be punishing and difficult. You can essentially stroll around all of the encounters. It's insulting.
>The feeling of scale in the menu map is off.
>The added weather and environmental shit doesn't make the game any more difficult. Day/night cycle is also useless.
>All of the item upgrades so far feel pointless (even moreso than DS1). Each item should have a specific point. I don't even know why we need more than one gun.
>im playing offline and there are far too many ladders and packages left around. It seems like you're never stuck in a situation without the right gear, even if you didn't pack it with you. That's a huge mistake, imo.
>I don't care about any of the people I deliver to. They are all uninteresting and don't seem to be in need the same way as the characters in DS
>I don't like the BB is dead storyline. You should have hung onto the toddler Lou until much later in the story. I'm a dad and part of what made DS so great was it was dadcore.
FINAL THOUGHTS: The map and characters were simply better in DS1. The map definitely offered more of a challenge (until the roads were all built).
I put over 200 hours into DS1. I'm 25% of the way through DS2. I'm just itching to go back to DS1.
