I owned a V12 XJS and I'd say that Jag had some of their best years in the early 00s when they were owned by Ford. The XJ8 and the XK8 were both really great cars with great V8s and without the horrible Lucas Electrics and more Ford components they were the most reliable Jags ever made.

For me Jag died when Ford sold them to the Indians and they got rid of the quad headlights and the classic styling of the XJ8 in 2009.
