I'm reading Amelia Rules right now and it's pretty good. It's quite refreshing to read a simple comic like this from so long ago, and it makes me wish I had read it back in elementary or middle school. I like how it doesn't shy away from heavy topics some kids may be going through, while masking them with their own childish perspective.
I also like how her friend group is blatantly disfunctional and barely held together, but they like each other in their own nerdy way, lol. Also, while I assume that Pajamaman is likely too poor to afford new clothes, I never knew that he was the most respected man around. A king amongst kings.
