KT overestimated and overshot way too much with the multimedia revival. The anime, gacha, and sequel all flopped pretty hard. They weren't even consistent between eachother story wise and just made the series a mess. The gacha not even got finished and it was supposed to fill in a shitload of story between the anime and the sequel. Playing the sequel leaves you with a lot of questions because there's a shitload of backstory that was never even written at the time. it really sucks overall because I really wanted BR to become bigger but they handed it off to a bunch of people that didn't know what to do with the series and now it's dead. I believe Tsuchiya said he wanted to do more with the series along with more exa_pico stuff but lol.
