My favorite comment about Seiji's infamous anatomy comes from Masashi Ishihama, the person in charge of handling the character designs for the OVA. From an art book focused on various projects he worked on, he as politely as possible states, (google translated):

Matsuyama's art is challenging, and I tried my best to keep the design as close to the original work as possible, but I remember struggling to capture the essence of the original, which wasn't easy. Since it was originally an order for just the design, it wouldn't have been a problem if I ended up creating something I couldn't draw myself, but I didn't even have the skills for that. I feel like the unique sense brought by the director and the appearance of Hiraku Kaneko made a significant difference.
