Your name is Lucy. You're outside of the Vault now, still gazing up into the sky. Small droplets of rain trickle down onto you. Todd and Kain have hoisted the raft out of the cave's entrance and into the thinnest section of muddy coast they can. The surrounding area is mostly dead trees and swampland, with the dilapidated wreck of what seems to have once been a ferry moored up against a nearby rocky outcrop. Just ahead, the ocean stretches out into a wide, murky mess of tiny islands, floating debris and ships. Getting the raft out of the mud and onto the water ends up taking you the better part of an hour.

Once afloat, you and the others tentatively hold your breath, waiting to see... it isn't sinking! Sure, it's incredibly unstable and liable to collapse into pieces at the slightest damage, but for now it'll do just fine. There's not a lot of room aboard, so you pull your legs in tight and try to minimise the amount of space you're taking up. Kain doesn't seem to have gotten the memo, stretching his legs out ahead of him.

Lorraine contemplates her Pip-Boy, opening up a new map and beginning to chart out what she can see. At one point in your Vault's history, there were enough people to afford scouting parties before every group left, enough to gather mapping data. Those days have long since passed, and you're left in the unknown as to where you can go or what your first port of call should be.

To your south is the vault itself. Huddling together for a discussion, you agree to:

>Head North (Open Waters)

>Head East (Ruined Ferry)

>Head West (???)
