Remember that if you, when seeing a sentence without context can't imagine multiple interpretations of the sentence already and contexts in which they would sound natural you're not “translating based on context”.
If you have no idea what a sentence could possibly mean without context you're not “translating based on context”; you're using context to make an utter guess.
