I paid extra for a Speed Queen twelve years ago to avoid the computer-controlled shit and it's held up like a champ. I don't think even Speed Queen make them anymore. Even ones they claim are electro-mechanical appear to be computer controlled but they just use knobs instead of buttons for the control setting to give a false impression.
