There's a tenuous link between the Kikeroga and Braw-Bro fwiw
The name Kikeroga obviously comes from the original story outline, where Char was going to pilot it alongside Lalah in the Elmeth (for an ep that would've come after Duel in Texas, and preceded a battle at Granada which ended up being dropped when the series got cut down to 43 eps). The full outline, the 'Tomino Memo' was first published in the Record Complete Works (記録全集) Vol.5, published back in 1980. In the book, there's an annotation added describing the Kikeroga as being a 'Braw Bro-like mecha' ("本編に登場せず、ブラウ·ブロ的メカ"). So for the longest time, that was the only reference fans had for what 'Kikeroga' would've looked like; something stylistically similar to the Braw-Bro (note that Challia's MA is still in the Tomino Memo, just under the name 'Gelgoog' instead of Braw-Bro. A lot of MS/MA names are switched around in that early outline). The Kikeroga design that gets used a lot now, like in the trading cards posted by other Anons, go back to pics from a '90s Gundam RPG instead
