Why was Christian civilization less patriarchal than Roman civilization? Romans literally treated women like property but Christians at least pretended women had souls. Was it because Christianity made men soft and emotional while Romans were based chads who conquered everything? Or did Christian women just get better at manipulating through fake piety instead of direct submission? Discuss.
