You can, the trend for food prices is global, you can just see it in third world countries they went from starving regularly to being full of fat fucks.

Those features make the cars safer, and the cheaper panneling is a tradeoff most people are willing to take.

Look at the example of a Golf, it was barely cheaper in the past but it was a much worse car, and now you can get a cheaper car than those old Golfs that are way, way better.
