They had the choice of trying to make busted ass 2008-2010 dev code designed with Xbox 360s and PS3s in mind for 1.0 that they chopped up then reworked into 2.0, and ending that shit where god fucking deigned it at 6.5 and count their lucky bloody damn stars they were able to perform such an unlikely swan song story in the first place gaining tons of good rep.
Then they make fucking XIV-2 so they no longer have worst in genre netcode, system code, and security code at a bare god damn minimum. Everything from the story, characters, all the way to the GRAPHIX of DT would have served better in a hard refresh.
I don't know why but they can send me 10k in consultation fees to tell them that 11+ year old fucking games just like NEARLY EVERYTHING ELSE could do with an upgrade or refresh to it. Absolutely crazy fucking thought there.
Instead they choose another decade of XIV, something that's obviously retarded because the game is both busted and buckbroken by it's playerbase. I want you to imagine, think about it, consider this ominous possibility, that you'll be queuing up for FRONTLINE ROULETTE in 2030.
