There's a very large rift between people who want God of War games and people who want Devil May Cry games. Beyonetta is one of my favorite games, I will never touch either the PS2 god of wars, or god forbid the PS4 god of wars. The market generally favors the former.
Plus, even if you make a successful entry, your next game could fuck literally everything up. Again, Bayonetta is one of my favorite games, I fucking hate Bayo 2 and 3.
