I can only respond in metaphore.
I don't know the game, but it was my turn to get off the bench and I hit a ball and I thought "ok now what" and I heard people shout "run" and next thing you know im doing something right.
It helps having good benchwarmers. "What are you going to do" and ngl the military was just an answer to a question i didnt know the answer to. Thats like saying, "I'm stepping up to the plate". Well, of course you are, you are up next.

I was never an IT guy growing up, and not knowing what i wanted and joining i think it helped me discover what I wanted and might be good at.
