From what I have seen and read and from my personal experience, white people don't get H.P Lovecraft as much as third worlders and browns do. Which is quite ironic innit. Here's a comparison between a take I heard from a britishman and a brown chilean lady

Irrationality and the mystic seeps its way through every corner and little hole of reality in our day to day lives and the moment you start paying attention to it or searching for it you go mad. Lovecraft's stories come from finding the supernatural not in grandiose form with trumpets and music but from finding yourself clouded in very mundane and otherwise normal scenarios in an inhenrently spiritually driven world
