My sources point to "no."

I decided the instability was caused by being too narrow. So I welded the car onto a frame, cut it in half, and then spread the frame with a piston, which was pretty fun. And then I added 4 vertical off-road suspensions. With this I could go very fast and the back-flips turned into acceleration-leaning. I then went and found oil, and left my car-beacon there. On my way back I drove off a mountain, landed in a forest, and was ambushed by hay-bots. They took out a tire, but I was able to limp home.
