If there was anyone who was on the fence about the game cause of the reviews, I'd say it is worth getting on sale. I beat the final boss with 44 hours played and I still want to play more. The game is fun. It is not a straight up upgrade to DD1, but if you like roguelikes, turn based combat, or just great atmosphere/writing you'll enjoy it.

It also always feels incredible when a hero goes resolute.
