Do you care about it? Do you like the music? Do you feel human empathy for the characters on your screen? I think once you reach Palumpolum and Lightning apologizes to Snow for how she's treated him and you fight the big ass helicopter outside Hope's apartment, you should be enjoying the gameplay and the characters alike. Once you get all 6 party members finally linked up, the game becomes objectively good IMO and you fight Barthandelus. That should be around.....hour 20...?
