Personally I'm in a case were I want to enjoy them, get the aesthetics and appeals, and can see the large amount of variability and differences on many levels between even individual installments - and yet I'm such a mediocre player I can't game an AI, much less even hope to beat other people online, which makes them endlessly frustrating for me to try to get into.
