Do you mind if I ask you a question? You said you where a good person, right?
Can I ask a few simple questions. This IS about as anon as you can get online.

Have you ever murdered someone?

Have you ever raped someone?

Have you ever stolen anything?

Have you ever lied?

You don't have to answer. And of course. I know your trolling me anyway so none of these answers mean anything. Just a fun mental exercise really.

>It's Caeser fault
No baittard. The Catholic Church is Caeser's fault.
He is responsible for exactly 1 division. Catholic vs protestant.
There are 200 major divisions of Protestant denominations in the US alone, and 800 major recognized one not to mention 1000's of little unrecognized ones.
All arguing about Paul. Hell, I have a name for your denomination. I call you guys Paulinian. >>508407030

Here's the meta for you.
The God represented in Christ was here to show us God's Character. And God's character is unchanging. We don't worship a name, we essentially worship character traits.
When I say, "God is truth." I'm not speaking in metaphor. I mean it literally. Absolutely no lie can be found in God because if lied even the tiniest bit just once. He is no longer worthy of worship. Sure, he may be strong and rule with an iron fist, but strength doesn't make you worthy of worship and can ultimately only end with no worshippers since eventually everyone would just face destruction than literally worship a liar.
Now God is also Love, perfect love. And he made us to love us. He wants us with him but only if we want to be with him. So he created this big elaborate stage and gave us a test he knew we would fail, and in failing give both us, and him what we want.
He created us as animals, in his image in that we had authority over everything we saw, but ultimately still immoral animals. We where essentially pampered house cats with the bloodlust. Free to roam as we pleased.
But that's not what God wanted nor what we wanted since that's not what he made us for.
Now we eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge everyday. Learning knew things and discovering uses, both good and evil every day without limitations.
We wanted to be better than animals, we wanted to be like God. And Jesus makes it clear striving to be like God is not a sin, he tells us to do it.
So what's the lesson?
Trust God's wisdom. If he says it's bad, it's bad.
Think about it. All he gave us access to was fucking morals and look where we are.
Morals are beyond the comprehension of animals, imagine what insane shit he will give us access to in the eternal life once we learn to trust him is he says, "Don't go down the road. It doesn't lead anywhere good."
