I was specifically thinking of how Gaia was sent reeling by some of Impulse's swings. Beam sabers shouldn't have that same sort of forceful effect.

An anon earlier in the thread made me look through 6 different databooks to try to find info about the Sword Strike, and what I gathered is that the Schwert Gewehr and beam boomerangs carry capacitors that let them function out of the MS's hands. But that might just be some BS the books added to make them sound more special and it's actually standard on all sabers, so nvm that.
