Overclocked 9070 XT with only 64 compute units can beat 96 compute unit 7900 XTX. An RDNA 4 chip with the same specs as the 7900 XTX running even higher clocks than pic related would definitely match or even beat a 4090. IDK why AMD didn't do it since with FSR 4 and the improved RT of RDNA 4 it would have been an attractive alternative at around a 1000 dollar price point.
