It's doable probably but one of the downsides of being new is doing such tasks feel quite intimidating, the fear of doing some irrevocable damage to the minis. I have mad respect to people who cut up stuff and do their own thing. The guy I played against for example was a goddamn artist for he sculpts his own bits. The brain of this neurotyrant was his make though it's not fully painted yet.
