me not feeling optimistic just means i'm in more of a realistic mood, i don't go down the pessimistic rabbit hole anymore
and on that note... everything? i have to disagree there, there's a lot that can be salvaged even if an endeavor fails
setbacks happen, shit happens, your progress may come undone, but the lessons stay with you, the knowledge, the experience
next time you try, it's not going to be as difficult and you probably won't make the same mistakes again, or at least, you'll do them differently

again, set your objective right, and look for milestones
the opportunities will present themselves, as they have already, even if shit didn't go as expected
tl;dr grab a fucking defibrillator and zap your dreams back to life if you can, and if you can't, learn from this experience and try again

p.s. i ask for nothing in return, i'm not looking for a trade/exchange here
it'd be nice to be heard, but that's not always possible so i don't ask for that either
