If your issue is just "Ugh, Oguri keeps winning too much!" go read the manga or wait for season 2 since it adapts more of his career with international competition and rivalries with other famous racehorses (including super creek) but Season 1 is literally the horse going from boony regional races to the big leagues and IRL he curb stomped them all too.
