I'm not really sure this should count, but the music in the opening to FFX - I remember playing it for the first time, and when that heavy guitar riff kicks in with those growly vocals, it really made me sit up and pay attention. It was so unlike anything FF had done up to that point, and even now when I replay it that music has a certain impact on me
Now I think about it, it's kinda strange how it's so out of step with the rest of the game, with the focus being on religion and the hymn of the faith - I wonder what they were thinking?
