It's quite interesting that they removed the fine ornaments, like the one on the well. Those can give so much personality. They polished those surfaces, making them flat without any character. It is like erasing the personality of something or someone. Simply deleting what was written on those stones, erasing the culture, erasing the past and meaning. It is now just an ordinary crude well, built by no one special.
