Why is it this creepy LINKman mascot?

I'm assuming this wasn't an approved ad or anything its just Barrett making random stuff on Twitter.

I have my LINK bags and I know the tech is legit. Even still I can only imagine shilling LINK to my uncle or something, he does due diligence on his own, and comes across this.
